8 glasses of water a day for a week will lose 10 pounds?

I'm just wondering. I've heard that if you drink 8 glasses of water a day for a week will make you lose 10 pounds. Anyone know the truth, or any other things you have to do? I'm not doing this, cuz 10 pounds in a week is perilous, but I just wanna know. THANK YOU! I will pick a best answer.

    if you mean eat absolutely nothing and drink 8 glasses, yes you will likely lose the weight. but you will also feel exhausted, be lethargic, and have smelly breath as your body generates ketone bodies from fats in the absence of sugars. Also, the second you eat something with excess sugar, your body will instantly convert it back to stout and you will regain the weight. So don't do it.

    If you mean eat a normal healthy diet and drink 8 glasses on top of that, then no you won't lose the weight. But, ioncreasing water intake keeps you full, and prevents overeating. so it will help lose weight, just over a longer period of time
