How to lose 8-10 pounds quickly?

I was wondering how to lose 8-10 pounds honestly quickly. Im not stout by any means, but losing 8-10 pounds would make me feel better about myself. Right now I am running 3 miles two times a week. I was wondering if anyone knew any foods that would be excellent to eat, or exercises that would be excellent to do to allow me to lose weight quickly.

Also, the areas I want to target are the butt, hips, and thighs. Does anyone know any excellent exercises for those areas?
